Every Friday, the Star Tribune publishes stories and photos from our readers about their favorite cabins, campsites and other hideouts. During warmer weather (roughly March through October) our “Cabin Country” department focuses on cabins, campsites, lodges and waterfront resorts. Preference is given to hideouts located in Minnesota or Wisconsin. The department turns its attention to hunting shacks during the fall, then ice-fishing houses for the cold months. Please send us an anecdote in 350 words or fewer, plus a photo or two representing your favorite hideout. We share one story per week with our readers. Catch them in “Cabin Country” on page three of our Outdoors Weekend section.
