At the end of 2012, the Star Tribune published a series of short stories about a dozen people who personified the lives we lost in that year, the inspiration they sparked and the legacy they left us.
We called them our "Northern Lights."
We also asked readers to submit photos and stories about special people in their lives who died. On Dec. 28, we will be doing it again, and as part of the package, we'd like to invite you to tell us about someone close to you who passed away in 2014.
Please send us an anecdote in 300 words or fewer and upload a photo, and we'll share them with our readers.
